エイドリアン･ヴァンデンバーグがWHITESNAKEに参加する前の自身のバンドの２ｎｄ。
今でこそハードかつポップで､サビにコーラスをもってくるバンドは数多くあるが､当時（１９８２年）は非常に珍しかった。（少なくとも私にとっては）

前半は割とポップで親しみやすい曲が並ぶが､アナログで言うところのB面（5~）から､ちと様子が変わってくる。
そして､9。アコギのイントロが鳴り響き､最後は静かに締めくくるんだなあ､と思っていたら一転､スピードチューンが展開される。
何度聴いても鳥肌が立つROCK史上に燦然と輝く名曲がここにある！
居住まいを正して聴きたい。
この一曲だけでも､このアルバムを買う値打ちがある。

ギターのリフは全曲素晴らしい。ヴォーカルメロディもグッとくるし､ちょこっと変拍子が入る曲構成もニクイ。
エイドリアン･ヴァンデンバーグのセンスの良さが光る一枚。もちろんギター･プレイもGOOD。

ヴァンデンバーグはベスト盤もあるが､選曲がペケなので､こっちの方が買い。

曲良し。演奏良し。ルックス良し。そんな彼等の2ndアルバム。
随所にキラリと光るセンス抜群のフレーズが散りばめられています。
当時の来日公演では、リズムギター・キーボード・セッションメンバーを起用しなかったものの、
実にレベルの高い4人での演奏でした。
レスボールを何のギミックも無くここまで華麗に弾きこなせるのは、
エイドリアンの他、今ではジョン・サイクスとダグ・アルドリッジくらいかな？
Whitesnakeの存在って、そう考えるとすごいですね。

5.0 out of 5 stars ２０年経っても新鮮に聴けるアルバム, 2003/5/21
　このアルバムが発売されて訳２０年が経つが、いま聴いても新鮮である。それだけ完成度の高いアルバムと言える。ギターのエイドリアンは、ホワイトスネークでは控えめなプレーをしているが、このアルバムでは弾きまくっている。私は当時ヴァンデンバーグのライブを２列目で見たことがあるが、エイドリアンの手の大きさに驚いた。とにかくデカイ、その大きな手がフレットの上を縦横無尽に駆け巡り、すごいテクニックを披露していた。
　曲は、クラシックセンスを取り入れたメロディアスなハードロックで、ボーカルも素晴らしくハードロックが苦手な人でも聴きやすい。捨て曲が１曲もなく、絶対に買って損はないアルバムだ。
