Album Details

Thin Lizzy was a hard rock quartet formed by Philip Lynott out of Dublin, Ireland that had numerous charting albums throughout the 70's & 80s. Wounded Bird will be re-issuing five of those albums on Cd. Thunder & Lightning was originally issued in 1983. Featured is guitarist John Sykes.

ジョン・サイクス入魂のアルバムです。
このアルバムを最後に解散することが決まっていたにもかかわらず、
新加入〜全面協力をしたサイクスの偉業をたたえようではありませんか！
プレースタイルはゲイリー・ムーアを意識し、超早弾きピッキングが炸裂。
メロディアスな曲調も、このバンドの歴史の流れをしっかり汲んでいます。
解散ツアーを収録した次作「Last Life」も必聴です。

ラジオでCold Sweat を聞いて、こずかいを貯めて買いました、凄いインパクトでした。当時KISS、DEEP、AEROとかは聞いてはいたが、お金が無い為アルバム何か買えなかったというか、そこまでして欲しいと思わなかった正直、でもこのアルバムはぜひ欲しいと思って三ヶ月間こずかい貯めて買った念願のアルバム！来る日も来る日も良く聞きました、捨て曲の無い凄い完成度のアルバムです。あれから何十年経ってもよく聞いてます。

ジョン・サイクスが加わって一気にへヴィになったサウンド。

賛否両論あったのを今もよーく覚えています。

伊藤政則がいろいろ言ってたな・・・あの時・・・

でも、この最後＊＊のアルバム・・・何か悲しい・・・

音は重いが、何か悲しい香りが全体的にする。

曲はそれぞれまったく異なったものの集積に感じるかもしれないが

アルバムとしては「もうシンリジィはなくなるのだ」という匂いが

感じ取られた1枚であった。

それ以前のアルバムには本先作のような｢終焉」が感じられなかったが。
