セカンドアルバムまでの曲が中心の選曲で、マイナーな曲も含めてよく吟味された選曲で好きなＣＤです。企画したエンジニアの選曲感性のよさに感激しました！数あるスタカンベストの中では、一番おすすめしたいベスト盤です！

83年から88年までのベストアルバム。一番のりのリだった頃のスタイル・カウンシルだ。特に『You're The Best Thing』と『With Everything To Lose』がオススメ。このセンス、誰にも真似できないね。

　センスの良さが光る楽曲とはまさにこういったものを言うのだろう。特にずば抜けた演奏面でのテクニックとか、歌唱力とか・・・そういったものとは無縁でありながら、決して誰にも真似することの出来ないずば抜けたセンスの良さが彼らにはある。ジャズ、ポップ、ロック・・・あらゆるジャンルを最高のかたちでザ・スタイル・カウンシルの中に取り入れ数々の傑作を生み出していった二人。日本でも８０年代、アルバム「ザ・コスト・オブ・ラヴィング」が大ヒット。以後もその人気を維持するものの解散。ポール・ウェラーのソロとしての活躍は元ジャムとか元ザ・スタイル・カウンシルなどといった肩書きは全く不要である大成功を収めたが、彼の歴史を語るうえでは重要なバンドであることに間違いはない。
