はっきり言って今から３０年程前の作品。いまだかつて似ているバンドにはめぐり合った事のない、独特な雰囲気なスパークス。
濃いといえばかなり濃い！でも聞いてるうちに病みつきになって、気が付くと、あの頃片っ端からレコードを集めてました。
その中でも大好きだった１枚です。
７曲目は絶対聞いて欲しい名曲中の名曲だと思います。
こんなにいいのにどうして日本で思い切り売れなかったの？って言うのは濃いからか？
でも売って大もうけしてやろうというより、こんなの作っちゃった、面白いと思う人はどうぞ！みたいなところがいいかも。
「ＢＣ」は子供でも口ずさみそうなポップな曲。「Achoo」は題名だけでおもしろいし、「BonVoyage」もお勧め。
あ~、また聞きたくなっちゃったって感じです。

月並みな言い方だが、その曲想はまったく古さを感じない。
たとえば5曲目なんかは、普遍的に「大人への反抗」をうたったのだろうが、その世界への違和感と折り重なったステートメントとして35年後の現在において、痛々しいまでのリアリティを獲得している。

SPARKSのアイランド時代の2枚目に、シングルのB面だった「アラバミー・ライト」と「マリー・ミー」をおまけにつけたもの。
「家には帰れない」は当時チャートにも入ったらしい。

オープニングはアカペラのタイトル曲で始まり、本気とは思えないような歌詞を（くしゃみの歌とか本気で歌うか？（笑））美しいメロディーラインに乗せて、キモノマイハウス以降の流れを推し進めた、目くるめくような独自の世界の頂点をぶちかましてくれています。
