シブいアルバムですよね。シブい。このアルバムは晩秋になると聴きたくなります。ボズの代名詞となっているような往年の名曲の焼き直しが多く、全ての曲がオリジナルより良くなっているとは言い難いですがこのアルバムでの「ｳｨｱ・ｵｰﾙ・ｱﾛｰﾝ」は個人的には76年のオリジナルバージョンよりも好きです。それにしても表題曲のこの素晴らしさはどうでしょう？この曲はある映画の挿入歌（主題歌？）になっていましたが、なぜこの素晴らしいバラードがあまりヒットしなかったのか不思議です。11月の夕暮れなどに聴くと自分の周りの世界が全て落ち葉色（ｵｰﾀﾑ・ﾌﾞﾗｳﾝ。勝手に命名。）に染まっていくような、そんな気分にさせてくれる本当に熟成されたとてもﾛﾏﾝﾃｨｯｸなﾊﾞﾗｰﾄﾞだと思うのですが。でも実はラストの「ｱｲﾙ・ﾋﾞｰ・ｻﾞ・ﾜﾝ」が一番好きだったりする。あまりのシブさについロバート・ブラウンなど飲りたくなります。（なんのこっちゃ）

まず、「シモン」を聞いてしまう。
あのアルバム「ミドル・マン」での「シモン」のパワーはどこへ行ってしまったのか。。。例えばアルバム「アザー・ロード」のジャケ写、そして「クローディア」。ああいうパワーですね。トシとったナァ。。。

しかしですよ、このオトナの雰囲気。よくよく聞いてみたら、これはこれで大変魅力的ですらあります。例えば「ハーバー・ライツ」これはアルバム「シルク・ディグリーズ」にありましたが、こちらもオトナの雰囲気で、のっけから深みのあるジャズバラードに仕上がっています。
一言、「円熟」という言葉に尽きます。

いえいえ、ちゃぁんとパワーを感じる曲もあるんです。７曲目「タイム」これは是非聞いてください。円熟の中にもパワーあり！ いやぁ、参りました。

楽曲がいまいち。渋いだけというのはこまりもの。
