７９年発表。クリス・レインボーの３枚目にして現在のところのラスト・アルバム・・・。トム・ソーヤの冒険に登場してくるハックル・ベリーフィンを思わせる少年が登場する美しいジャケットには、虹と飛行機雲の文字が浮かぶ。そんなイメージを浮かべつつ、流れてくる音楽に耳を傾けるとそれはまるでブルース・ジョンストンのようなやさしいメロディと美しいコーラスが胸に響く。この人は間違いなくビーチボーイズ、特にブルース・ジョンストンを愛して止まない人なのだろうと思う。誤解を受ける事を覚悟して書けば、このアルバムはブルース・ジョンストンの名作「GOING PUBLIC」をより洗練した形で完成させた彼の結晶とも言える作品で、彼の目標の到達点でもあったと思う。一瞬の隙も無く、曲も完璧でありポップスとしての普遍性も合わせ持った本来なら一家に一枚の作品だと思う。一曲目のイントロが流れた時点でもう夢の世界へトリップできます。こういう作品が簡単に手に入らない状況というのは狂っていると思わざるを得ませんね。
