最大の都市ニューヨークを意識したのでしょう､全体的に緊張感がみなぎっていますし、観客の歓声も凄く､エルヴィスをのりにのせて素晴らしいライブになっています。完成度の最も高いライブＣＤだと思います。エルヴィス初心者にも一押しのＣＤです。

1972年9月10日の実況録音盤です。72年は、全米でのｺﾝｻｰﾄﾂｱｰを敢行した年で、その集大成としてNYﾏﾃﾞｨｿﾝｽｸｴｱｰｶﾞｰﾃﾞﾝで、7万8千人の観客を集めた記念すべきコンサートを行った時のものです。曲目やコンサートの演出も、ほぼ完成され、オープニング序曲が壮大な雰囲気を醸し出し、ゴージャスな衣装と叩き込むようなボーカルなどキング・オブ・ロックンロールとの異名をとるに相応しい内容となっています。全米に向けたツアーを意識してか、曲が全体にアップテンポで、リードギターとドラムがスリリングにエルヴィスのボーカルを煽っているのが印象的です。
ＣＤの裏の写真が、ＮＹ公演の時にエルヴィスが着ていた衣装だそうです。真っ白で、本当に綺麗な衣装です。

　最近、エルビスを殺したのは食生活で誤った食生活でカロリーをとりすぎたので死んだ。とありました。そんな下馬評（？）をくつがえすような、ステージライブ。見果てぬ夢など、コーラスとの絶妙なバランス。歌唱力、それに呼応するかのように観衆からの絶大の声援！！！惜しいなあ。残念だな。悔しいなあ。もしも、カロリーバランスなど、徹底的な食生活の管理ができたのならば、７２歳のエルビスを見れたのかもしれない。プリシアとうまくいっていたのなら、小泉元総理が、「アメリカの祈り」を歌うとき、リサとプリシアともう一人エルビスの姿がホワイト・ハウスにあったのかもしれない。ともあれ、この作品は色々な思いを彷彿とさせる秀作です。
