初期のミスチルの曲は聴いたことなかったんですがポップでとってもよかったです。
このアルバムは曲数はちょっと少ないものの、内容がギュッと凝縮された作品だと思います。
特に私が好きなのは最後のナンバーの「チルドレンズ・ワールド」でしょうか。
まさにミスチルのテーマです。これからもがんばってほしいと応援してます。

ミスチルの最初期の作品を好きだという人はあまり聞いたことがない。どうしても「抱きしめたい」以降の楽曲に注目が集まってしまい、初期に関しては正当な評価などないようだ。しかし、今このアルバムを聞いても、きちんと評価に耐えられるものであるように思うし、単純極まりない歌詞が、素直に心に響く。歌詞が難しくなったのは「アトミック・ハート」から。さいきんの「君が好き」など、初期へと回帰するような単純明快な（ただし決してもとの場所には戻ってはいない）歌詞に惹かれるなら、初期３部作Everything, Kind of Love, Versusを聴いてみるべきだ。

迷いも悩みもないがどこか獏とした恋の将来の不安を歌いながら、「好き」という感情をこめた２曲目「Mr.Shinig Moon」は、青春の恋の予感の不安定さを物語っている。おそらく彼はこの恋がうまく行っても、すでに終わりが始まっていることを知っている。

シングルカットされた３曲目「君がいた夏」は夏の終わり＝秋と冬の始まりという時間の設定のなかでおこなわれる、「今」から「過去」への強烈なフラッシュバックだ。好きという流れてしまった感情は、しかし決して消え去ったわけではない。それこそ海の底に沈んでしまっているだけで、ひとたび「夕暮れの海」に出会えば、切ない恋の記憶は鮮明によみがえる。そして時間は留まったままで、永遠のあの時間を今なお生きていることに気づかせてくれる。歌詞は決して終末に向かわずペンディング（宙吊り）されたままだ。

「友達のままで」「ためいきの日曜日」などは片思いの!!苦しみを素直に歌い上げている。あまりにも的確なので、筆者は逆に笑ってしまったほど。ミスチルは有名になりすぎたが、まだ一部のあいだにしか知られていなかった頃は早熟な高校生に、熱狂的に偏愛されていた。なぜなのかはこのアルバムを聴いて確かめればわかると思う。

曲数が何しろ少ないので、お値段が張ってるイメージが
ある気もしますが、買えば『後悔』の感情は
しなくなると思いますし、
僕は買ってよかったって思いました。

全体的に見える、爽やかさ、切なさ、青臭さなどが
本当に気持ちいいなって思います。
どの曲も本当にポップで聴き易くて歌い易い。
初期だから未完成なんてそんなのはミスチルにはないです。

『風』なんかは本当に情景があるのまま浮かぶ感じですし、
『ためいきの日曜日』『チルドレンズ・ワールド』なんかも良いです。

クオリティは確かだと思います。
あとは、個人的に好きになれるかどうか趣味の範囲ではないでしょうか。
