"HIDDEN TREASURES"＝「隠された宝」というタイトルどおり貴重なテイクが数多くおさめられている。ファンには嬉しいアルバムだ。既発曲１曲、デモ・ヴァージョン３曲（うち１曲は未発表）、未発表曲１曲、映画のサントラに使用された曲７曲（うち２曲は日本盤では既発）の全１２曲。ブラック・サバスのカヴァー"paranoid"が聴きどころです。

　1995年にリリースされた企画盤。
　『Youthanasia』収録曲『A Tout Le Monde』で幕を開け、デモ曲『Symphony of Destruction』『Architecture of Aggression』『New World Order』、【Alice Cooper】(スペル合ってるかな…)のカヴァー『No More Mr. Nice Guy』、国内盤にはサービストラックで収められている『Breakpoint』『Go to Hell』、アルバム未収録トラック『Angry Again』『99 Ways to Die』『Diadems』、【Black Sabbath】のカヴァー、車のCMソングとして記憶に新しい『Paranoid』、【Sex Pistols】のカヴァー『Problems』。
　スタジオアルバムと較べても聴き劣りのしない12曲。
　是非とも一度お試しあれ!

個人的には最も油がのっていた頃は
アルバム「破滅へのカウントダウン」の頃だと思うのだが
このアルバムはその頃のカヴァー曲やデモバージョン曲、未発表曲などを収録
カヴァーはムステインのルーツはパンクだと再認識させるような選曲である
サバスのパラノイドも
ピストルズの怒りの日も
僕も好きな曲なので、なんかとても楽しい
あと他の未発表曲ももったいないぐらいできがよくて
特にブレイクポイントはかなりしびれた

アルバム「破滅へのカウントダウン」が好きなら絶対気に入るはず
買うべし
