イングベイが自ら影響された曲を大胆にプレイしてます。各曲いずれもソロ部分が原型をとどめないほど「イングベイ・モード」なので爽快です。ある意味「全編速弾きソロプレイ・アルバム」です。

正直、イングウェイのオリジナル曲って、あんま好きではないです。でも、このアルバムは良い。（と、アルバムをほめてもインギーファンには「参考にならない」をクリックされるか？）

このアルバムはカバーです。全曲、他人の曲です。そのほとんどが、オリジナルより、
　ぶ厚く
　重たく
　かっちょい〜
音にアレンジされています。

ピッキング時の「グキョグキョッ」という音、「ズッブッブッブンブンブン」とミューとした低音弦。イングウェイって、カッコいいギター音出しますね。

インギーが幼少からティーンエイジにわたって「もっとも影響を受けた」曲やプレーヤーに敬意を表して作られたカバー曲集です。

デビュー当時は誰が聴いても明らかにリッチー・ブラックモアやジミヘンの影響を受けていることがバレバレにも関わらず「ロックはほとんど聴いたことはない。聴いていたのはバッハばっかり」と”強がり”を言っていた彼ですが、さすがに年齢を重ねるうちに人間的にも丸くなり、ついに自らの音楽的ルーツを正直に吐露したという、大変好感がもてる作品です。

現在、40代前半という彼の年齢を考えると、ここで登場する先人達の楽曲は「なるほど、なるほど」と納得。カンサス、UK、レインボー、パープル、RUSH、スコーピオンズ、ジミヘン…と今の彼を作り上げたルーツがここに詰まっています。なかでもカンサスとUKというプログレ路線は少し意外かもしれませんが、現在のネオクラシーンを語るうえで70年代前半を席巻したプログレは欠くことのできない要素です。また、彼の年齢を考えると「なんだよ、お前もかよ！」という感じの「通過儀礼」なわけです。この手のアルバムを今後発表するかは彼のみぞ知るところですが、意外にKing CrimsonやYesと取り上げたりして。ちなみに彼のお姉さんが初めにプレゼントしたレコードはパープルの「Fireball」とのこと。

UKの「In The Dead of Night」の間奏はオリジナル曲ではエディ・ジョブソンのキーボードですが、ここではギターで演奏していて大変驚きました。脇を固めるメンバーもイェンス・ヨハンソン、アンダース・ヨハンソン、ジョー・リン・ターナーと大変豪華です（実にわかりやすい面子ですね）。
