この作品はカヒミのメジャー・デビュー作品です。コーネリアスこと小山田くんが作曲した曲でCMで使われたことがある曲も収録されていています。歌詞は英語とフランス語でフランス語の曲ではヴァレリー・ルメルシエが作詞、ベルトラン・ブルガラが作曲した曲もあります。アコースティックな曲からフレンチな香りのする曲、そしてちょっと不思議な宇宙空間にいるような曲までつまっている作品です。

　小山田圭吾とカヒミ・カリィの関係はセルジュ・ゲンズブールとジェーン・バーキンに置き換えられますが、セルジュ・ゲンズブールとジェーン・バーキンの様な湿ったエロスは皆無で、どちらかといえばカラッとしていて中性的なところが魅力だと思います。本家のフレンチお洒落系ポップスのねっとりしたエロさを求めている方には物足りないと思いますが、濃いエロスに敬遠してしまう私にはとても聴き易いです。彼女が発するオーラは渋谷系のプリンセスと呼ぶのに相応しいです。１曲目はスウェディッシュポップ風、２曲目はボサノヴァ、３〜４曲目はトリップ・ホップ、５曲目はネオアコ、６曲目はピチカート・ファイヴ風のソフトロックと、多彩な曲が収録されています。

カトリーヌおじさんのアルバムにカミヒカリィさんが参加していて
なかなかよかったので
もともと興味はなかったのですが買ってみました

ざっと聴いた感じ
本場のウィスパーボイスを聴いている人には物足りないでしょうねぇ
ウィスパーといえどもやっぱり
うまさや味や個性があるのですが
カヒミカリィさんはそのへんがちょっと希薄な感じがしますねぇ

曲も日本人が作ったフレンチ風な曲は
やっぱりフレンチ風で終ってる感じがするし

カトリーヌおじさんが作った2.はなかなかよかったですけど
あとは無個性というかありがちというか・・・

次はもっとカトリーヌおじさんが参加してるアルバムを買ってみよう
