1994 reissue on Chrysalis of his 1980 double live album for the label with two unmarked bonus tracks: 'The Golden Age OfRock 'N' Roll' and 'When The Daylight Comes'. The album reached #69 in the U.S. & was recorded during his record- breaking seven night sell-out at The Roxy in L.A. Co-produced with Mick Ronson, this 22 track compilation is the highlights of those shows: solo gems & hits from his his days with Mott The Hoople, including 'All The Young Dudes', 'Once Bitten Twice Shy', 'All The Way From Memphis','Cleveland Rocks', 'Slaughter On Tenth Avenue' and more!

Live Versions of Some of the Best Material by Ian Hunter (Ex-Of Mott the Hoople). This 1994, 2-Disc Release Includes Four Previously Unreleased Tracks: 'One of the Boys', 'The Golden Age of Rock and Roll', 'When the Daylight Comes' and the Medley 'Once Bitten, Twice Shy/Bastard/Cleveland Rocks'. 忘れもしない１９９０年、イアンが来日すると聞いて、ついにこのライブ版の音がこの耳で・・・と有頂天になったのもつかの間、息子の事故で（だったと思いますが）見事にキャンセル。
もう爺さんだし、あのサングラスの勇姿は見ることが出来ないのでしょうね。
スタジオ版ではパッとしなかった「アイリーン・ワイルド」のライブ版の切なさは最最最最高！

このアルバムの「アイリーン・ワイルド」を聞かずして、何がIANか、何がMOTTか、何がUKロックか、といった具合に盛り上がっちゃいます。

'80年ﾘﾘｰｽのｿﾛになってからの初Live盤。IanさんとMick RonsonさんはMott The Hoopleを脱退後
Hunter Ronson Bandとして（実質ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ名義はHunterだったが・・・）活動後しばし袖を分かつ。Ianさん4作目にて再び再会した二人は行動を共にし、'79年LA・ﾛｷｼｰｸﾗﾌﾞでのLiveを中心としたｱﾙﾊﾞﾑを発表する。他のﾒﾝﾊﾞｰは元ｸﾞﾘｰﾝｽﾚｲﾄﾞのﾏｰﾃｨﾝ･ﾌﾟﾗｲﾘｰ（B)ﾄﾐｰ･ﾏﾝﾃﾞﾙ（Kbd)

　選曲は正にMott〜ｿﾛ期のBestな選曲でどの曲もｽﾀｼﾞｵﾊﾞｰｼﾞｮﾝよりｽｹｰﾙUPされており、切れ味も格段に増している。やっぱ Ianの横にはMickがいなけりゃ〜

#1はMickさんが敬愛するShadowsのｲﾝｽﾄで幕開け。#2の徐徐に観客を巻き込んで暑くなって行く様も痛快だし、#3/5/6のMTHﾅﾝﾊﾞｰに於ける躍動感はどうだ！これぞRock'n Rollの醍醐味！
ｽﾀｼﾞｵﾊﾞｰｼﾞｮﾝより感情が滲み出した佳曲#7を挟み　ｿﾛの代表作#8/9へ雪崩れ込む！もう鳥肌ﾓﾉ！
MTHの#2-1で盛り上げるだけ盛り上げて、#2-2で落とす　ﾂﾎﾞを得た演歌歌手の如く。ｼﾒはｱｶﾍﾟﾗから始まる#2-5で。本当に最高のRock Showです！

#2-6以下はCD化に際し追加されたﾎﾞｰﾅｽ曲でLP未収録のLiveﾊﾞｰｼﾞｮﾝ。#2-7は限定UKｼﾝｸﾞﾙのB面曲で本編3曲を編集にて繋げたﾊﾞｰｼﾞｮﾝ。#2-8/映画 Up The Academy挿入歌でｼﾝｸﾞﾙのみ発売のｽﾀｼﾞｵ録音。#2-9/10 も未発表ｽﾀｼﾞｵ録音。#2-11/UKでのｼﾝｸﾞﾙ　本編未収録のLiveﾊﾞｰｼﾞｮﾝとなっています。

永遠のばかロック・アイドル、イアン・ハンターのごきげんなライブ。もちろん僚友ミック・ロンソンも一緒。モット時代よりばか度はグレード・アップしてリラックスした演奏と共に炸裂する時放ちボーカルを楽しめます。絶対にやってくれると思った「クリーブランド・ロック」での全米ご当地めぐりもばっちり、日本公演実現したらきっと東京ロックや大阪ロック、松山ロックもやってくれるんだろうなあ。忘れては決していけない生きているロケンロール・ばかなのです。
