１９８４年リリース。ずっとついてまわる元エンジェルのキーボードプレイヤー：グレッグジェフリア率いるジェフリアの１ＳＴ・・・まさに８０年代のアメリカンロックを象徴するサウンドで、私は名盤と断言します（笑）。個人的には、ドッケン「トゥース＆ネイル」に匹敵するくらい素晴らしいと思っています。サウンドの要はやはりグレッグのセンスの良いキーボードで、当時の雨後のたけのこバンドとは一線を画していました・・・オープニングの仰々しいプレイなどは、「ＥＬ＆Ｐかい！」でたまりませんし（笑）、そのままなだれこむ「ドゥミーライト」のカッコよさはいつ聴いても惚れ惚れします。続く２曲目「コールトゥザハート」は当時とにかくオンエア（ＭＴＶも！？）されていて、文句なしの名曲でし??う・・・この時代の煌びやかさを感じさせるパワーバラード！！結構聴きまくっていたのが６曲目誰も話題にしない（笑）「トラブルアゲイン」・・・キーボードとギターのソロの掛け合いがフューチャーされていて、この間プログレッシヴバンドを聴いている錯覚に陥ります。メンバーは、グレッグジェフリア（Ｋｅｙ）・デヴィッドグレンエイズレイ（Ｖｏ、巧い！）・グレイグゴールディ（Ｇ）・チャックライト（Ｂ）・アランクリーガー（Ｄｒ）・・・数十年忘れていましたが（笑）、ギターはグレイグだったんですね。８０年代アメリカンロックを象徴する名盤・・・頭２曲に尽きる！！

グレッグジェフリアのキラキラしたキーボードを前面に押し出したジャーニー風のハードポップです。ただ、クレイグゴールディのギタースタイルのせいか「８０年代ＬＡメタル版ジャーニー」という表現が適切なような気がします。ポップな要素のあるハードロックを綺麗なキーボードサウンドで上手にアレンジしている邦題どおり美しく爽やかな内容のアルバムです。どれか１曲あげるとすれば２曲目の「ＣＡＬＬ　ＴＯ　ＴＨＥ　ＨＥＡＲＴ」でしょう。ハードポップの名曲中の名曲といえる素晴らしい曲です。私もこの曲が聴きたいがためにこのアルバムを買ったようなものです。それにしてもこの頃のクレイグゴールディはなかなか良いギターを弾いているように思います。このアルバムをはじめて聞いた頃、これは楽しみなギタリストが出てきたと思ったものでしたが、彼は今どうしちゃったんでしょう。

このアルバムはキーボードの美しさを再確認できる作品です。
２曲目は全米で大ヒットした曲。この曲を聴くためだけに買っても十分に価値があります。本当に美しい作品です。
是非聞いてほしい作品です。
