■ダンスリーの正式名称はダンスリー・ルネサンス合奏団。1972年に結成。今日ただ今も現役で活動を続ける日本古楽界の草分け・源流というべき偉大なグループである。ダンスリーは、コロムビア／デンオンでベスト盤を含む４枚のアルバムを残しているが、本ＣＤはもっとも有名な彼らの作品集である。

■数百年の歳月を経て今もなお、みずみずしい中世ルネサンス期の音楽――。それは、外面的には静謐なものながら極めて力強いものであり、音楽の本質に迫る何かがここに宿っている。

■あまりロック・ファンなどには知られていないが、彼らは80年代半ば以降、ミサワ・クラシックスから３枚、エオリアン・レコードから１枚のアルバムを発表している。さらに伝説的と断言してよいＵＲＣからの正真正銘の幻のファースト・アルバム「絆」を含め、未ＣＤ化作品や廃盤・入手困難作品がたくさんある。さらに大量のライヴ音源も存在するだろう。どしどしＣＤ化されるべきであろうし、もっともっと彼らの営為は知られても良いのだ。過去２回徳島県北島町創世ホールで、彼らの演奏会を企画したことのある私は、そのことを訴えたい。

ＬＰ時代からなので、もう二十年近くつきあってるアルバム。
兵庫県に拠点をおく彼らだが、私の下の方の言われるとおり
もっと聞かれていいのにと思う。
ちょっと違うが、女子十二○○が曲に振り回されていると
すれば、ダンスリーは曲を自分たちのオリジナルにしてしまう。
坂本の「ジ・エンド・オブ・エイシア」など、彼らの為に書いたの

ではないのか？とさえ思ってしまう。
よく、伝統的な楽器でポップな色をだして、聞いてて中途半端で
バツの悪くなるようなユニット・楽団・楽房がありますが、
彼らは全く違う。絶対お勧め！！

　１９８１年の段階で　既に坂本龍一が　このようなクラシックとの融合を目指したアルバムを作成している点に　彼の視野の広さと射程距離の長さをつくづく感じてしまう。

　このアルバムに見られる一種の「温もり」は　例えば坂本の比較的近作である「CASA」にも見られるものであり　現在坂本が提唱しているLOHASに通じるものがある。繰り返すが　それは１９８１年という２０年以上前に既に始まっていた点に感心しているわけである。

　それにしても　このアルバムは聴きやすいし　聴いていてほっとする。あまり売れているとは言いがたい状況かもしれないが　百年後を想像すると　このアルバムは坂本の代表作の一つになっていてもおかしくない。

　個人的には　そこまで　愛している、可愛らしいアルバムです。
