　これを聴くたび、このときのツアーのチケットが取れなかったことを嘆きます。Seasons in the abyssまでのほぼベストの選曲(Silent screamがはいっていればさらに文句なしですが)で、臨場感たっぷり。アドレナリンが噴出してくること間違いなしです。Slayerファンなら必携のアルバムです。

　また、初期の2枚からの選曲が新たな魅力をもって迫ってきます。初期の2枚は録音状態が悪く、折角のデイヴのドラムがデッドな録音で台無しでしたが、パワフルなドラムとハードエッジなギターで他の曲と同じ音像で聴けるのは感動的です。The antichristやBlack magicは最高ですね。

　ギターもケリーとジェフの音色の違いがハッキリ分かり(ジェフのギターがややマイルドなトーンのため、2人の音量レベルに差があるように聞こえますが)、2人のコンビネーションがSlayerに不可欠なことも再認識しました。
　これからSlayerを聴こうという方はこのアルバムから入るのが良いかもしれません。

　メタルに限らず、多くのバンドたちから尊敬を集めており、いまだに第一線で活躍するモンスターバンド、スレイヤーのライブアルバムです。選曲も素晴らしく、２枚組みというボリューム。ライブ経験者が追体験するもよし、スレイヤー初心者の入門CDとしてもよし。音質もそれなりによくオススメです。
