　ブラーの３枚目で、全英１位の大ヒット・アルバムだけど、実際に売れただけの事はある。
　妙に心地よい不協和音や、時としてリリカルなサウンド、そして英国ロックお得意のシニカルな詩。オアシスのどこか生真面目な感じとは違い、ポップで悪ふざけしているような印象を受ける。もしかしたらスミスの影響があるのかな？

　それにしても実に「はまる」１枚です。

ブリットポップ再興を指してネオネオモッズだのって言葉がありましたが、フー、キンクスあたりからパンク、ネオモッズのイギリス的系譜を踏まえながらも
ＸＴＣやワイヤー、そしてビートルズ的な、イギリスっぽさ、「イギリス的解決」法を、一つの到達点として示した作品であると思います。
内容も無茶苦茶カッコいいですし、モッズ映画「さらば青春の光」のフィルダニエルがセリフで参加する（キースムーンっぽい！）など、
思わずニヤリとする要素もたっぷり。
今や「WORLD LOVES」なブラーですが、まさに「LONDON LOVES」な今作。歌詞もすごいカッコいいです。
