１~３rdではまだあれこれさまよっていた感がありましたが、ついにこのアルバムでスタイルが確立。カイの良さが炸裂した１枚となりました。メロディックパワーメタルの真髄があふれています。タイトルチューンのデキは最高。２曲目ばりばりカイ節炸裂！今でもライブで非常にも盛り上がる曲ではないでしょうか。ゲストでマイケル・キスクが参加。タイトルチューンではシビれるコーラスを、12曲目ではメインをばっちり歌ってくれてます。（12曲目に関してはいかにもキスク仕様の曲で、往年のメタルぶりはうかがえませんがそれでも伸びるハイトーンがたまりません）

ボーカリストだったラルフが脱退してからの第一作目となるアルバムで、ここから再びカイ・ハンセンがボーカリストとしてフロントマンを勤めています。
カイはラルフの歌い回しについて不満があったような発言をしていたので、恐らくこのアルバムでの歌い回しというのが彼が本来表現したかったものなのだと思われます。

歌唱力については確かに落ちますが、久し振りにカイ・ハンセンらしい楽曲になったのではないかと思います。

ところで、このアルバムには少し特典があり、丁度この時期に同じくHELLOWEENを脱退したマイケル・キスクがゲストとして参加し、LAND OF THE FREEではコーラス、TIME TO BREAK FREEではメインボーカルとして歌っています。

メンバーがそのまま彼で一枚のアルバムを完成させる事まで考えたという、圧倒的な歌唱力は是非とも聴いてみていただきたいと思います。
まさにメンバー全員がこのアルバムタイトルにもあるようにFREE（自由）に楽しめている、そんな感じのする一枚です。
