ヴィニ・ライリーのサウンドを聞くと寂しさと、哀愁と、情熱を感じずには
いられません。ＰＵＮＫブームも少し落ち着いた８０年頃英国のマンチェスター地方の良質なバンドを数多くリリースしてきたファクトリーレーベルから
発表されたこのＬＣは、かつて誰も通った事のない音楽の裏道を淡々と一歩、一歩、しかも確かな歩調で歩いて行った様な

そんな作品ではないでしょうか、何十年経っても決して時代に埋もれる事のない音楽、彼自身前人未到のジャンルをゆっくりではありますが、確実に開拓し
その時代と戦い続けた希代なギタリストの一人ではないかと思います。
今は亡きＣＬＡＳＨのジョーストラマーはパンクとは姿勢だって言っています

その姿勢とは自分自身に嘘をつくなとか、周りの目を気!にせず自分らしく生きろとか、そんな類の事だった様に思えます、今の混沌とした時代に突き刺さる文句ではないでしょうか、そしてヴィニ・ライリーもその姿勢を貫き通したまさにＰＵＮＫＳの一人だったと思います。誰にも真似のできない静かな

パンクサウンド、素晴らしい作品です。冷たく青い炎の様な彼のギターは
時代が変わっても輝きが失われる事はありません。
オリジナルのアナログ盤は１０曲目までしか入っていませんが今作は１６曲
収録と聞き応えも十分ある内容になっています。
この作品を初めて聞いてから２０年以上が経ちますが、これを超える美しく

もの悲しいギターＲＯＣＫとは、出会っていない。

この作品。あんまり沢山聞き過ぎてレコードが擦り切れてしまった、と思いながら、長いことレコードプレイヤーにのせることもなく、過ごしていました。CDであらためてじっくり聞くことができて、とてもよかった、と思っています。世の中には、人それぞれだと思うけど、解説のいらない音楽、作品があって、この音楽こそは、そういう特別なものじゃないかなな、と今もって感じています。この同じサイトにいろいろな賞賛の声が記されているのを読んで、僕はとても共感しています。そして、僕には特に書くことはありません（ということを、だらだら書いてますけど）。こういう音楽がかつてあって、今もある、ということを体験してほしい、と思っています。こういうのは、全然レビューになっていないけど、誰かに借りたりするのでもいいから、是非聞いてみてもらいたい、このレビューがそのきっかけになれば、なおいいと思いながら書いています。

聴く者を優しくつつみこむようなサウンドと、穏やかで消え入るようなヴォーカルは昨今のヒーリングや癒しとは似て非なるものとして我々に届く。実際聴いてみればわかるその尖った洗練と、個人で到達可能な完成度の極限をおもわせる楽器の音色。これは現在最も欠落している全てのアーテイストが感服する心性だろう。ジャンルはもう関係なく、美しい音の原点を感じさせる
名作。が、しかし、これはロックなのだと思う。
