2枚のアルバムに参加しフロントマンとしてその存在が定着していたHELLOWEENのアンディ・デリス(Vo)。
'97年に発表された本作は、彼にとって初めてのソロ・アルバムだ。

哀愁を漂わせたメロディを主軸に置いたメロディック・ロック・アルバムで、
PINK CREAM 69やHELLOWEENでデリスのメロディ・センスに敬服していたファンには間違いなく楽しめるアルバムだろう。

先行シングルになった"1000 years away"と女々しい(決して悪いことではない)までの泣きを発散させる"Good-bye jenny"は絶品。

メロディックな音楽が好きな人なら聴いて損は無い名盤だ。
HELLOWEEのメンバーが全面参加したパワー・メタル・チューン"King of the 7 eyes"は
HELLOWEENファンへのサービスのつもりなのだろうが蛇足。

元PINK CREAM69、現HELLOWEENのフロントマンであるアンディ・デリスのソロデビューアルバム。全体的にHELLOWEENで発表する楽曲よりも、軽めのポップスよりの楽曲が目立ち、彼のソングライターとしての器用さをとても判り易く体現していると思います。
ところどころにHELLOWEENっぽいメロディもあるので、ファンも安心して購入していただける内容だと思います。

シングルカットされた古きよき時代の香りの漂うロックナンバー、1000YEARSや、亡き祖母へ贈った名作バラードGOOD-BYE JENNY、タイトルからもそれらしく伺えるHELLOWEENメンバー「ほぼ全員」をゲストに迎えたKING OF SEVEN EYESなど、聴きどころ満載の一枚になっています。

HELLOWEENの天才シンガー、アンディ・デリスのファーストソロアルバム。
随所でアンディの叙情的なメロディセンスが遺憾なく発揮されているのが嬉しいね。初期PINK CREAM 69を思わせる"1000 YEARS AWAY"から、HELLOWEEN系疾走曲の"THE KING OF 7 EYES"まで、バラエティが広い。アンディ特有の哀メロのオンパレードは、アンディファンなら必聴！！
