「Breathless」発表後，Camelは，ピーター･バーデンス(key)が脱退，元Caravanのヤン･シェルハースとデイヴ･シンクレアを迎えて，(個人的には奇跡の)日本公演を敢行。
　その後，リチャード＆デイヴ・シンクレアが脱退して，コリン･ベイス(ｂ)と元Happy the Manのキット･ワトキンスが加入してリリースした本作は，主力市場の日本で販売不振だったためか，CDへの買い替えが困難な時期が長かったように思います。
　最近では，輸入盤で入手しやすくなっていますので，まだCDを手にしていない方は，早めに入手なさってはいかがでしょうか。
　１曲目Waitが痛快な曲と演奏で，この１曲のためだけでも本作を買う価値はあります。これを聴くと，A･ラティマーのバーデンスに対する不満が少し理解できるような気がします。
　Camel結成当時は，元ゼムのバーデンスがバンドの看板であり，当時としては十分な技量を持っていたけれども，元々バーデンスはセンスで勝負するキーボード奏者であり，ラティマーやアンディ・ウォード(ds）の向上心の高さについていけなくなったというところでしょうか。
　Waitでのシェルハース＆ワトキンスのツインキーボードの威力は抜群で，その変幻自在の美しいスピード感・ドライブ感は，プログレシヴロックのダイナミズムを見事に表現していると言えるでしょう。
　３曲目Eye of the Stormはワトキンス作で，もろにHappy the Man的作品。
　Remort Romanceという曲は，いわゆるテクノ的要素を取り入れた当時としては現代的な作品で，こういうことも出来るんだよんという感じで悪くはないのですが，これを日本盤のアルバムタイトルにしたのは，いくらこのジャケットでもやりすぎで，本作の日本での売上げ不振，従来のCamelファンが離れていった原因を作ってしまったのではないかという疑いがあります。
　ラストのIceは，Camelとしては旧タイプの曲ですが，ひたすら美音派ギタリスト，ラティマーのギターを堪能してもらうための曲。ラティマーファンにはお勧めです。
　アルバムとしてのまとまりは今一つですが，良い曲・演奏が含まれており，Camelファンなら持っていたいCDです。

１９７９年リリースの通算８作目・・・非常に洗練されたポップ感覚に溢れたアルバムで、個人的には大好きな１枚！！楽曲が充実しており、演奏も文句なしの素晴らしいものです。メンバーは、アンディラティマー（Ｇ・Ｆｌｕｔｅ・Ｖｏ）・アンディワード（Ｄｒ）・コリンベース（Ｂ）・ヤンシェルハース（Ｋｅｙ）・キットワトキンス（Ｋｅｙ）・・・このダブルキーボードがとにかく素晴らしいコンビネーションで、アルバム全体に炸裂します。２曲目「ユアラヴストレンジャーザンマイン」がとにかく大好きで本当飽きません・・・プログレをまぶしたポップ感覚が見事に反映されている曲、メルコリンズのサックスソロがまたいいんですよ！！９曲目「ＩＣＥ」はＬＩＶＥでもおなじみの名曲・・・叙情的なインス!!トナンバーでキャメルの魅力を凝縮した曲です、いやあいいです。持ってて損なしの素晴らしいアルバム・・・必聴！！

ひじょうにPOPな仕上がりのアルバムです。私は1WAIT、2YOUR LOVE IS STRANGER THAN MINEが特に好きです。（新生キャメル色が出ている。）3~6は従来のキャメルだが、7・8は再びPOPな曲。9は10分台の大作。

　キャメル（というよりアンディ・ラティマーか・・・）はアルバムの中にPOPな曲が入っても、全体としてトータル感が残るというか、妙に納得してしまう作品が多いです。後期キャメルのサウンドはこの作品辺りからではないかと思います。（キーボードがピート・バーデンスでないあたりが影響か？）

　因みにこのアルバムのプロデュースはルパート・ハインでアルバム・ジャケットはシュート・ザット・タイガーが手掛けております。この組み合わせは後のSAGAのアルバム「WORLDS APART」と同じです。サウンド的にもSAGAのアルバムの原型はこのアルバムにあると個人的に思っています。
