パンク・ニューウェーブとしてデビューしたブームタウンラッツの２枚目のアルバム。
前作とはうって変わって、怒涛のポップアルバムに仕上がっている。
私が自分のお小遣いで最初に買ったアルバムがこれです。
当時、高校生の私は、純粋に「かっこいい！」と思いました。
本来はナイーブであろうボブゲルドフの才能が開花したアルバムだと思います。

高校生の頃にこのアルバムに巡り合えた事に感謝。
ヒトラーの愛人を叙情的に歌った名曲、（INEVER LOVED) EVA BRAUN。パンクスの哀愁、RAT TRAP・・・。
硬軟取り混ぜた構成、７０年代に引導を渡すこのセンス、BOOMTOWN RATSの全てのアルバムは今でこそ再評価されるべきだ！

このＣＤの中にヒトラーの恋人であったエバーブラウンの歌がある。
言葉がわからなくても本当はすごく孤独で寂しかったエバーの心の中が解るような気がする。
