グラムロックと一言で済まされてしまいがちなT-Rexですが、私はブギーだと思いますね。まあモデルをやっていた美貌の持ち主ですから、外見でグラムと言われていた部分が大半なのでしょうが。声もセクシーだし。彼に影響を受けたアーティストも沢山いますね。かのデビッドボウイなんて歌詞中に彼の名を綴っているくらいですから。このアルバムのはT-Rexの曲ではかなりメジャーな曲が多々入っていますね。残念なのは｢これぞT-Rexのブギー!｣と感じる｢Zip Gun Boogie｣が収録されていないところでしょうか。でも聞いていると絶対｢イエー!｣と声が出てしまう｢Children of the Revolution｣や、体が勝手にリズムをとりだしてしまう｢.Solid Gold Easy Action｣、｢Groover｣、｢Get It On｣等ノリノリのトラックが収録されているのは嬉しいアルバム。T-REXのトラックは全て口ずさんでしまったり、踊りだしてしまったり、雄叫びをボランと合わせて上げてしまう等、ジッとしていられないのですが、｢Debora｣だけは別。何故なら歌詞がサッパリ不明だから…。大好きな曲なのに聞く度にモドカシイ気持ちになります。ライブバージョンとか幾つか別バージョンがありますが、このアルバムに収録されている[Original Full Length Version]が一番カッコイイです。その分モドカシさも一番です。いやあ、ボランに踊らされているなあ。
