オリジナル・アルバムのCD再発時に、併せて発売された編集盤。
基本的にシングル・リリースを中心にしていたバンドなだけに、
オリジナル・アルバム未収録の音源が多いので、
こういった編集盤はファンにとっては嬉しくも有り難いものである。
また、1stアルバムに収録されている曲でも、
そのほとんどがアルバムとシングルでミックスが違うので、1stと共に必聴盤。
シングルのＢ面曲ではエルヴィス・コステロが結構な量のプロデュースを手掛けています。
まぁ、コステロに関しては相変わらずのプロデュース・ワークですが。

本作は1991年に日本で発売された編集盤が基となっていて、その後にそのままの内容でＵＫ本国でも発売になったものである。編集を手掛けたのは宮子和眞（「ギター・ポップ・ジャンボリー」のシリーズもそうだが、宮子氏は音楽ファンの気持ちを理解した良い仕事をする）。1993年に本国でＣＭに“Young At Heart”が用いられ、ポップ・チャートの１位を記録するということが起こったので、それに合わせての発売でもあっただろう。このＣＤはジャケット・デザインを新しくしたものとなっているが、内容は前述のものと変わっていない。

ブルーベルズはグラスゴー出身で、1982年から1985年の活動期に７枚のシングルと“Sisters”という唯一のＬＰを残している。キラキラとして瑞々しいアコースティック楽器の響きを生かした音作りと、生き生きとしたビートと親しみやすいメロディーを持っている曲の数々。屈託のない素直な明るさが聴き手にも伝わってくるが、そんな中にも垣間見えるちょっとセンチな感覚もまた良い。“Young At Heart”のようにフィドルを導入してカントリー風味を打ち出したりしているのも彼らの特長だった。プロデュースにはエルヴィス・コステロ（彼らをライヴのサポートとして迎えてもいた）やエヴリシング・バット・ザ・ガールなどを手掛けたロビン・ミラーなどが携わっている。

なお、本作には全７枚のシングルのうち、最後のシングル曲である“All I Am（Is Loving You）”と“Ballad Of Joe Hill”が収録されていないのだが、これらの曲は1991年に日本で同時に再発された“Sisters”のほうにボーナス曲として収められていて、その“Sisters”が廃盤になっていながら、2006年の時点でもこれらの曲が入っていない状態のままだということに、ＷＥＡの怠慢さが表れている。

スコットランド出身の彼等のシングルを集めたアルバムがこの作品です。キャスや、オランダ、ヤング・アット・ハートやシュガー・ブリッジといった曲が収録されています。彼等の音楽はネオアコでもありますが、甘酸っぱいかんじの80年代の青春映画で使用されそうな曲もつまっています。エルヴィス・コステロがプロデュースしている曲もあります。最近ではあまり有名ではなくなってしまったかもしれませんが、スクラフスが好きな人やスコティッシュのネオアコが好きな人に聞いてもらいたい作品のひとつです。
