クリームのライヴアルバムパート2ともいえるアルバムです。
パート1がどちらかと言うとマニアックな選曲であったのに対し、本作品ではクリームの代表曲とも呼べる有名な曲ばかりで構成されています。特に＊6ではバトルとも呼べるほどのアドリブの応酬が楽しめます。もしクリームを聴いてみようと考えておられるならば、まず本作品から聴いてみることをお薦めいたします。ギター、ベース、ドラムスがこれでもかというくらいに自己主張しまくるサウンドに驚愕することでしょう。
お薦めの1枚です！

なおCD化された当時の日本盤においても＊6はハイダウェイ（Hideaway)と表記されていました。

これはCream解散後に発表された作品。ところが数ある彼らのアルバム中、最高の出来。Live 1に相当する'Cream Live'はほとんどJack Bruceの独壇場。それに対しこのアルバムでは３人の壮絶なinterplayが聞ける。特にE.Claptonの千変万化に繰り広げる、Improvisationの真骨頂に触れることができる。凄まじい演奏である。特に、(5),(6)ではただただ驚くばかり。昔、この長いアドリブを完全コピ-したEric の信者がたくさんいたものだ。またG.BakerのdrumsもJ.BruceのBassもこの当時では最高水準のテクニックを持ち合わせていた(勿論、今聞いても凄いのだが）。ジャケットを見て気づくと思うがこの頃すでにG.Bakerはtwin bass drumsを駆使していたのだ。蛇足だがこのLPが発売された時、日本盤では(6)がHideawayと表記されており、今となってはpremiumものである。いずれにせよロックがジャズに接近し、それまではボ-カル中心だった世界に大胆に即興演奏を取り入れるようになった'60年代後半の象徴的アルバムであると同時に、後世に残る金字塔の作品である。

伝説のグループCREAMの貴重なライブ盤。今聴いても興奮が甦る奇跡のアルバムである。

「White Room」、「Sunshine Of Your Love」、「Hideaway(アルバム発表時のクレジット)」など曲目だけ見ても凄いのだが、やはり凄いのは演奏である。今でこそE.クラプトンの知名度が抜けているが、ベースのJ.ブルース、ドラムスのJ.ベイカーも負けず劣らずの力量を誇っていたので、3人のバンドで3人共イニシアチブを取るという前代未聞のパフォーマンスを演じていた。フリー・ジャズにも通じるもので、ブルース・ロックを基本としながらも、ジャズ・バンドでもあり、そしてハードロック・バンドでもあるという革新的なサウンドが聴く者に衝撃を与えた。

天才達が集まった時の常でCREAMは短い活動期間で幕を降ろしたが、本作はCREAMの天才的煌きと圧倒的迫力を永遠に残す不朽の名作。
