ジミヘンが好きだった高校生の頃、これ聴いてみなよと友人に勧められたのがこのアルバムです。冒頭の「Too Rolling Stoned」からして「何だこりゃー!!!!!」というのが第一印象。彼をして「ジミヘンの再来」「ジミヘンフォロアー」と評する見方があります。確かに大きく影響を受けていますし、本人も否定していません。俗称ジミヘンコードやワウワウの多用など、聴き方によっては「亜流」と捉える人もいるかも知れません。当時ほかにもフォロアーが出現しましたが、ジミヘン的なテイストを上手く吸収し、かつオリジナリティーを持たせた音楽を作ったという意味では、彼が第一人者でしょう。最近作を聴くと流石に枯れてしまった印象がありますが、若い頃の元気な彼をここで見つけてください。

発売当時、元プロコルハルムのギタリストという以外何も知らずに買って聴いたが、これが、大当たり！数あるロック・ギターのライブアルバムでもこれは、屈指の名作だろう。パフォーマンス、楽曲、録音、臨場感、フィーリングどれをとっても、ケチのつけようがない。トリオでやっているとは思えない音の洪水。当時かなりのリスナーを虜にした作品にちがいない。冒頭から信じがたいグルーヴにひきずりこまれる、ＴＯＯ　ＲＯＬＬＩＮＧ　ＳＴＯＮＥＤ、しっとりムーディに聞かせるＤＡＹ　ＤＲＥＡＭ、ハードなＬＡＤＹ　ＬＯＶＥ、ＡＬＥＴＨＥＡ、ヘヴィ・ブルースT　ＣＡＮＴ　ＷＡＩＴ　ＭＵＣＨ　ＬＯＮＧＥＲ、どれをとっても素晴らしい。ロニー・ディオとポール・ロジャースを足して２で割ったような、哀愁感あふれるジェイムズ・デュワーのヴォーカルには、男もホレるだろう。
