トッド・ラングレンは、どちらかといえばシングル・アーティストではないが、彼の出したシングルのＡ・Ｂ面を集めた作品集。一般的なトッドの代表作はほぼ網羅されているが、あくまでもシングル集であって、ベストではないというのが感想。

トッドには「サムシング・エニシング」のようにシングル以外にも素晴らしい曲がいっぱいの作品が多くあるためで、この作品は、初めてトッドを聴く人、トッドのヒット（といっても多くはないが）を一枚で聴きたいという人向きかなという気がします。

もちろん、「ハロー・イッツ・ミー」を始めとする素晴らしい曲が詰まっていますので、作品自体の価値は高いと思いますが、この作品で止まらず、少なくとも「サムシング・エニシング」だけは聴いて欲しいと思います。

このアルバムは本当にもりだくさんですよ。
ゲームのスーパーマリオで使われている曲が入っていてびっくりしました。
マリオに使われているなんてさすがトッド！
ディスク２の５番の「友達でいさせて」は映画バニラ・スカイで使われていました。

ディスク１の１１番の「ハロー・イッツ・ミー」は映画ヴァージン・スーサイズの女の子達が電話で会話をしているシーンで使われてた曲です。「A Dream Goes On Forever」もヴァージン・スーサイズです。

切ない曲はもちろん楽しい曲までいっぱいです
とにかくたくさん入っててこの値段なので買わなきゃ損ですよっ

１９７０年から８３年までにベアズヴィルからリリースされた
シングルのA面とB面を集めた日本独自のコンピレーション｡
とにかくいい曲が目白押しなのだが、特にDisk 1は素晴らしい｡
どの曲もトッドの非凡な作曲センスがよく出ている｡
☆３つにしたのはDisk 2の後半になってくると打ち込み中心で
今聞くとどうしてもバンド演奏の曲に比べて見劣りがするのと、
リマスター技術が現在ほど進化していないため音質的にやや難のある
曲があるため｡
