レジロスは、パンクかパワーポップか？…と、なかなか分類に迷うバンドです。オールディーズっぽい雰囲気も持っていたりして、ネオロカのファンにも人気ですし、グラムロッカーにも好まれている(スイートのカバーとかしてたりしますし)バンドです。まぁ、ジャンルにこだわらず楽しめるバンドなので深く考えずに楽しんでください。

イギリスBBCのトップ・オブ・ザ・ポップスのテーマや日本でも人気のフライング・ソーサー・アタック、個人的に大好きなシングル曲、デスティネーション・ヴィーナスなどノリノリの作品のオンパレードです。すでにご存知と思いますがモーターバイク・ビートでおなじみのレヴィロスは同じバンドです。前に新宿でレジロスのライブを観にいったら、当日はレヴィロスになっていました(この日のライブ盤も出てます)。

日本でも２回アナログLPで出されていますし、廃盤状態だった９０年代にはコピー盤のLPが出回ったり、オリジナルにプレミアがついたりするくらいの人気盤でした。ボーナスとしてほぼ同じトラックのライブが13曲入っています。気がつくと知らず知らずに身体をゆすってますよ。そのうちに、つい口ずさむようになって、立派なレジロス中毒患者の出来上がりです。どんな世代の人でも楽しめると思います。ぜひ、聴いてみてください。

英国の音楽番組の主題歌 Top Of The Pops ブレイクしたグループです。髪の毛が短かったからか、最初はパンクのように紹介されていましたが、ノリノリのパワーポップです。
オリジナルアルバムは「レジロス登場」の１枚さけですが、それに、シングル曲２曲、ライヴ１３曲を追加してます。ライヴは音が今イチですが、Sweet の Ballroom Blitz など珍しい曲も入っています。

本編Ｂ面のＲ＆Ｒの連発は失禁モノです。これでもか、と揺すられます。Getting Me Down は Johnny Winter の物マネかなぁ、とも思えます。

気に入ったら Revillos も聞きましょう。メンバはおおむね同じですが、よりポップになってます。

ブックレット内にもＰＵＮＫ？ＮＥＷ　ＷＡＶＥ？の問いかけがされていましたが、どっちでもあって、どっちでもないというのが正解のようです。
演奏面でパンクやロックンロールを下地にしつつも、男女のツインボーカルや独特のベースラインが独自の「ロックンロールの亜種」的世界観を作り上げています。Ｂ級ＳＦ的、キュートなイメージも独創的です。
クラブヒッツなフライング・ソーサー・アタック、めずらしくシリアスな曲調がカッコいいコールド・ウォーズ、高揚するバッド・ガイズ・リアクション等捨て曲なしの名盤。
ロッキンしたギターソロなんかもさりげに聴き所です。買って損なし！
