今は亡き伝説のヴォーカリスト、DEAD在籍時の唯一のオフィシャル音源。
ライブ盤で、音質がかなり悪く、途中で音が小さくなったりとか乱れたりとかしますが、それでも当時の彼らの邪悪さを感じることが出来る名盤だと思います。この音の悪さが邪悪さを増しているといえます。

このアルバムの聞き所はなんといってもDEADのがなり立てるようなヴォーカルです。完全に悪魔と化しています。
特に2曲目のNecrolustは凄まじいです。最初に聞いた時鳥肌が立ってしまいました。

De Mysteriis Dom Sathanasの評価が凄まじく、本アルバムは目立たない立場にありますが、これはこれで味わい深く、素晴らしいアルバムじゃないかな、と思います。DEAD氏在籍時の、唯一の音源ですし。

私としては三曲目と五曲目が特に好きなのですが、全体的に甲乙つけがたい曲が揃ってます。何より、人生を完全に諦めてしまわれたようなDEAD氏の、かすれた最怖ヴォーカルが耳に残ります。音質により更に闇を秘めてしまった演奏もまた、悪魔が降臨してしまわないかと、本気で心配できる程、邪悪です。

ただ、マニア向け、という匂いがどうしても誤魔化せないので、星四つです。シンフォニックな、メロディ重視の音楽が好きな人だと火傷するかも、です。

後にショットガンでアタマをぶっ飛ばして自殺をした伝説のヴォーカリスト、デッドとバーズムのヴァイカーネスことカウント・グリシュナックに殺されたユーロ二モスが在籍していた時の貴重なオフィシャルライブ・アルバム。（デッドはこのライブの半年後に自殺をしました。）
音質はかなりの劣悪ぶりで演奏も雑ですが、デッドのがなり声と言い何ともいえない凄さを感じる事ができます。
M.C.でのデッドの絶叫はマジで震えます。
ジャケットもブラック・メタル史に残る名ジャケ!!
