ノルウェーのブラック・メタル・シーンはMayhem、Burzumとこの
Emperorによって切り開かれたことは周知の事実。本物・本場はやはり
凄まじい。ドラマーのファウストの殺人事件、ギターのサモスの教会放火
などの事件があり、本作はサモスの出所を待ち、随分長いインターバル
を経て発表されました。

肝心な作品ですが、本当に素晴らしいです。芸術作品というのは、『芸術』
ですので作られるモノですが、これは『表現者』としての凄まじさも感じ取れ
ます。高い音楽性と演奏力、芸術性と表現力。聴いているこっちがオカシク
なりそうです。何せ犯罪で自滅したノルウェー・ブラック・メタルのゴッド
ですから。本場の本物です。危険な音楽。
