彼らのアルバムの中では一番いいアルバムではないでしょうか。ところどころメイデンを彷彿させるかっこいいリフもあり、初期アルバムって事でデスメタル度も適度にありよく聞いていたアルバムです。ただあまりブルータル系デスを求める人にはお薦めでないですんで。。。

前作よりかなりメロディアスではないでしょうか。しかし、最近のメロディックデスほど聴き易くはないですよ。そこがまた良いんです！とにかく、彼ら特有の鬱~っ感じが出ててGoodです。

フィンランドの元メロデスバンド、センテンストの1st、2ndのカップリング。1992/1993作
4th以降はメランコリックなゴシック色を増していったこのバンドのデスメタル時代の2作品。
1stの方は、土着的メロディのギターリフと強烈なデス声を乗せて疾走するサウンド。
ただ激しいだけでなく、おどろおどろしいドゥーミーでアンダーグラウンドな暗さがあって、
当時の主流であったイエテボリ系のメロデスとは一線を画す雰囲気がある。
一方で、3rdで顕著になる正統的なメタルの質感もあり、知的な展開力を垣間見せるなど、
デビュー作にして、すでにただのデスメタルにはとどまらない器の大きさも感じさせる。
2ndになると、ProgMetal的な展開力がより顕著になり、音がやや派手になってきている。
ツインギターのフレーズもメロディアスさを増して、ヴォーカルを除けばデスメタル色はあまりない。
疾走パートを含めてリズムチェンジを多用したせわしなさのなかに、クールな構築性が感じられる。
