DopeながらもKrushのアルバムの中で聴きやすい部類です。
この頃は今より全然ミニマルな機材を使っていたと思いますが
しっかりとKrushの音がしていて流石です。

HIPHOPをインストゥルメンタルで成立させた偉大なDJ。

　25歳からHIPHOPに目覚めターンテーブルを手にしたKrushの初期衝動の塊のようなアルバムです。（１stのしてこの渋さと緊張感と完成度!!）
発売当時は、トリップポップと呼ばれ、そういうジャンルのものだと思い込んで聴いていましたが、ここにあるビートは紛れもないHIPHOPです。
このビート感こそがKrushの今も流れるKrushの真髄のような気がします。

始まりからアンダーグラウンドそのもの。スプレー缶振ってタグ描いて逃げる。小さい声で“やべっ！”って。違法だよ、違法。
とりあえず重めのビート。個人的には勝手に冬の夜、ＮＹの人気のない道のマンホールから湯気が立ち上ってた風景を思い出してしまう。
Sonya Valletをフィーチャ-したBIG CITY LOVERはリリース当時ある雑誌でクラッシュ自身が“けっこうキャッチ-”みたいなこと言ってたけど、全然渋い。ジャジーなピアノ・リフとか入れ方がうまい。
