いや〜、やっぱKREATORはこうでなきゃね〜。
新作の『ENEMY OF GOD』はスラッシーな感じ消えてきて(そう思っているのは俺だけかな)メロデスよりなっている様な感じだけど、この『EXTREME AGGRESSION』は激しくて聴きやすいスラッシーでいいね。
88年と昔に出たアルバムながら激しいね。スラッシュ好きな俺にとってはKREATORの中ではいい作品だと思うよ。演奏がSLAYERって感じな面が好きなんだよね。
因み俺はこのアルバムが日本盤ではないので輸入盤で買った。歌詞は分かんねーけどそれはいいや。
SLAYER好きならば一回は聴いてみてほしいね。昔の人が「昔はよかった」て、いうみたいに俺も、
「昔のKREATORはよかった」
と、でもいうか(笑)。
星は五つ以上あげたい作品だね。

Kreatorを聴くのは、確か彼らの4枚目に当たる、このアルバムが初めてだった。その時の衝撃は今でも忘れることができない。まさにExtreme Aggression。音の残虐性が余りに衝撃的で、良いのか悪いのかしばらく分からなかった。だが魔物に魅入られた者のように分からないまま聴いている内に、「すげえ」と段々思えるようになってきた。後に他の作品を聴き比べると、やりたいことに技術が追いつき、既に相当なAggressionを体現している前作3枚目や、更に演奏の安定した次作5枚目もイイ。無論、その後の声が枯れてため息のような声でシャウトする(？)作品は、悲し過ぎて比べるべくもないが‥。いずれにしてもその衝撃、この時代における「勢い」のようなものを含め、僕にとって何といってもこの作品が青春の一枚。ちなみに当時、今は亡きおばあちゃんにカラオケを勧められ、無謀にもExtreme Aggressionを歌おうとし、前奏をかけただけで、おばあちゃんが腰を抜かしそうになったのを覚えている。天国のおばあちゃん、その節はびっくりさせてごめんね。

5.0 out of 5 stars 80'sスラッシュ・メタルの金字塔, 2008/9/24
スラッシュ・メタルという音楽をここ迄見事に体現している盤は数少ない。

バンド初となるUSレコーディングで、名匠ランディー・バーンズが手懸けたクリエイターの通産4作目、充実の大傑作だ。

まず、曲がコンパクトながら起承転結にまとまっていて、気持ち良く疾走している点が素晴らしい。

全9曲、トータル37分34秒というその潔さ。

そして、リーダーであるミレ・ペトロッツァの進化。

吐き捨て型ボーカルもトーン・コントロールされ、ある意味聴き易くなった。

ミュートの効いた高速リフも、気持ち良い。

フロリダのデスがメンバー・チェンジと共に成長していったのと異なり、クリエイターはミレの成長がバンドを引き上げた感が強い。

そしてやはりプロデューサーとは大きな存在だと実感。

メガデスで有名なランディー・バーンズだが、やはりこの人はいい音を作る。

今まで『グシャ』っとしていたクリエイターの音像をパート別にクリアに構築し、メインをギターに合わせた点がいかにもランディー。

たまにメガデスのアルバムを聴いているような錯覚に陥るが、それは【ランディーの音】と呼んでも差し支えないだろう。

彼等のキャリア中、今現時点では最高傑作だと俺は思う。
