「嘗て、芝浦のFACTORYでチャックの大乗で、ﾂｱﾗﾂｽﾄﾗはかく語りき”で始まり、皆時間を忘れ近所からの苦情も”なんのその”店の人がだいぶあせっていたが。気がつくと終電の時間、相当の人間が家に帰れなかった」そんなことがあった。さて、このアナログ版が出た時は８曲目以降の６曲入り。これに、元々アナログ版の”LIVE'87　DOUBLE　ALBUM”のside３（CDの1-4）と、４（CDの5-7）を加えたもの。一曲目はチャックのデュークのカバーだが、絶品。是非でかい音で楽しみたい。因みに9-STORMY MONDAYはｱﾅﾛｸﾞのside１に入っている。ｱﾅﾛｸﾞに入っていた「WE NEED SOME MONEY」が入っていない事が残念。最近は、GO-GOのCDはあまり見られなくなったが、流石に大御所のアルバムはこうしてＣＤで入手できる事がありがたい。チャック及びＧＯ-ＧＯの絶頂期に出されたアルバムで、まだチャックも枯れて来る前（この時だって結構な歳のはずなんだが）でギターのフレーズもつやがあり心地よい。Ｂ級ファンク（ＤＣに行くと神様なんだが）から、漸くチャックのやっているサウンドがGO-GOとして定着してきた時期のもの。ＪＢやP-FUNKと違って妙にリラックスでき、気がつくと”チャック流ファンクのサウンドに体を委ねてしまう”そんな心地よさを感じさせてくれる代表作。センスのイイ”オッサン”が、若い連中を引き連れ「こうするとｸｰﾙ（もう死語か）」なんてやっている。12,13はスタジオ録音。これを聞くと11までのプレイが普段通りである事がよくわかる。（ｽﾃｰｼﾞでは、ＪＢ並にコントロールされ、完成度が求められているなんて気がつかない）

　ともかく1から4までのメドレーを聴いて下さい。ゴーゴー好きじゃなくったって音楽を愛してやまない人だったら至極の時間に浸れます。本当に愛情と思い遣りに満ち溢れた音楽です。
　10年ほど前にニューヨークでアンクル・チャックのライブを見る機会があったのですが、聴衆の人々の顔に浮かんでいた満面の笑顔は忘れられません。人種を超えて知らない人同士が微笑みあったり、車椅子の人がいれば皆が気を使って舞台が見やすいよう前を空けたりする姿は素晴らしい光景でした。
　本当、音楽が好きでわたしゃ幸せです。
　その時のライブの中休みに、私、ブラウンさんに握手してもらっちゃいました~（それもトイレで、チャックおじさんはウイスキーのグラス片手に上機嫌でした。カッコ良かったな、もー）。
　ともかくこのアルバム、絶対に買いです。こんな凄いもの聴かなきゃ人生もったいないですよ！

最近は８０年代が注目されているようで！重いBeatで踊りたい！そんなあなたにＧｏＧｏＦｕｎｋはいかがですか？一時のブームは去りましたが、今聴きなおしても本当にかっこ良い！！特にこのChuck BrownはＪａｚｚとＧｏＧｏを融合し、他に見れない世界を作り出している。このアルバムと購入リストにはありませんが「Goin' Hard」（こちらのほうがＪａｚｚしてます）がお勧めです。
