　表題曲の「Passarim」には、複数のバージョンがあります。
　もとのＴＶサントラ『O Tempo eo Vento』の中には、インストバージョンと、長短２つの葡語バージョンの３種類があって、とくにその葡語バージョンは、静かで地味なサウンドながら、えもいわれぬ不思議な奥行きがあり、とても神秘的です。ポルトガル語の、深みのある美しさを聴くことができるバージョンです。
　本ＣＤにも２つバージョンがありますが、とくに息子パウロの訳詩とされる英語バージョンでは、華やかなアレンジとともに、この言語のもつシンプルさによって、曲のもっているメッセージがより普遍的な広がりを見せていて、この英語バージョンの意義はとても深いと思います。きらめくような神秘性と、純粋さと、悲痛さがあって、わたしはしばしば感きわまってしまいます。
　また、『Familia Jobim』の方には、ジョビンの編曲によるものが入っていて、こちらは力の抜けた、可愛らしい出来になってます。

アントニオ・カルロス・ジョビンはいつも肩の力が抜けているアルバムが多いが、特にこのアルバムでのジョビンはリラックスしている。というのも、バックからアルバム・ジャケットの絵、写真など、ほとんどがジョビン・ファミリーで作っている。で、肝心の出来はというと、ジョビンの晩年のベストに入るだろう。ボサノヴァに加え、良質のジャズのアクセント。買って絶対に後悔しないだろう。（松本敏之）

ボサノバ界のビッグ　ネーム。作曲家としての才能はものすごい。

ジャズ　レーベルバーブから出たもの。どの曲も洗練されたすばらしいメロディーをもっているのだが、リズムなどもかなり凝っていてブラジリアンジャズという趣である。聴いているとふわ~~っと吸い込まれそうになる。後世に残る名曲満載なので、繰り返し聞いても飽きることはないと思う。偉大な作曲家が残してくれた美しすぎるポエム。
１０点中１０点。
