　86年の映画のサントラ。音楽監督をU2のThe Edgeが務め（9曲の作曲もしている）、またシンニード・オコナーの初公式録音（2）が収録されている点で重要なアルバムでしょう。
　U2のファンとしては「ヨシュア・トゥリー」(87年) 直前の音にはやはり興味がありましたし、熱烈なS.オコナーのファンとして是非（2）を聴きたくて購入しました。
　しかし、やはりあくまでも映画のBGMといった趣きの曲が延々と続くので、ちょっと退屈です。S.オコナーも、（声はきれいだけど・・・）音程が狂ってかなりひどいものです。
　ということで、マニアの人向け、でしょう。手放す気はありませんが、でも今後何回聴くかな？という感じです。
　追記；S.オコナーのトラックは、2005年のレア・トラック集「コラボレーションズ」に収録されました。

U2のエッジが手がけたサントラです。映画の方はオリバー・リード主演のスリラーの様です。このサントラには根強いファンもいて、僕も哀愁たっぷりの美しい1曲目からぞっこんになりました。ジャケットのちょっと気になる映画ですがきちんと日本公開されたかどうか不明。よっぽどいい映画なら公開されている気もするし・・・このまま、映画は観ないでサントラに酔いしれればいいかな。
