オリジナルのLPではLove Cryで始まりDancing Flowers,Omega,Love Flower,Bellsと続きGhostsで終わります。

色々な組み合わせでの録音のようですがパターンが有ります。

基本的にリズム・セクションはそのままで、後はtp或いはharpsichordが加わるという編成での演奏になっています。アイラーはtsをメインにして2曲だけasを使っています。

1967年7月にコルトレーンが亡くなりアイラーは彼の葬儀でも演奏をしています。このアルバムの1~6は、その少し後の録音になります。翌年録音の7~11曲が6分から9分と言う長さの演奏が中心だと言う事を含めて、67年録音の曲が全て4分を切る演奏だというのが印象的です。

コルトレーンが驚嘆し憧れたと言われるアイラーのコルトレーンの葬儀での演奏を聴くと、彼もまたコルトレーンにたいして尊敬の念を抱き憧れていたのでしょう。
アイラーのin Greenwich villageというアルバムのオリジナルは、コルトレーンの亡くなる数ヶ月前のFor john coltraneの演奏で始まります。
