Ever since Boise, Idaho, trio Built to Spill emerged on national radar with its major label release Perfect from Now On (Warner), its earlier recordings are infused with a certain prediscovery mystique. On 1994's There's Nothing Wrong with Love, the roots of Built to Spill's shimmering orchestral arrangements are present, but with a distinctly tattered edge. Frontman Doug Martsch bounds from moody balladry to primal screams, often in the same songs. ﾋﾞﾙﾄ･ﾄｩ･ｽﾋﾟﾙのインディー時代最後の作品となる本作。
彼らの一風変わったひねくれたポップセンスは特筆すべき
モノであると思う。

ジャケットのイメージ通り、やわらかく爽やかな印象ではあるが、
彼ら特有の持ち味がいかんなく発揮されており、やはりダグ・マー
トッシュのソングライティングの才能は生半可なものではない事が

よくわかるアルバムだ。シンプルな音作りである分、後続のメジャー
作品より潔い印象がある。

思わず口ずさんでしまう様な親しみやすさと、奇異な自立心を感じる
彼らの音が私はたまらなく好きだ。もちろんこのアルバムが一番のお気に
入りであるのは言うまでもありません。お薦めします。

稀代のメロディーメイカーダグマシュー率いる、ＵＳインディの良心Built To Spillのインディーズ時代のアルバムです。

軽やかとすら言える緩い構成の上をギターが動き回り、良質のメロディーを持つ楽曲には、ギターロックの最良の形が見えると思う。
メジャーでの作品ほど音が詰まっていないところも、楽曲の形や特色が見えて良いと思う。
