中学生のとき、担任の先生に薦められて聴きました。当時はジャンルとかわからないまま1曲目の「Good Times」がとてもcoolでずっと聴いてました。
大人になって改めて聴きかえすと、色々な想いが交錯して何ともいえない気持ちにさせてくれます。
人生の中で出会えて良かった1枚です。

うら若きころ、とある横浜の喫茶店のＢＧＭで聴いて、カントリー的な
物とは一線を画す、都会的なブルージーさに釘付けに・・・・
それ以来、２枚のＬＰはすれ切れるほどのハードローティション
いまだに大事にとってある。
彼女の感性は当時の世界の若者への汎用性は証明されたのは明らかでしたが、この年月を重ねて、いまだに色あせることなく、ますます、
必要とされるヒーリングさは時代を超えた普遍性をも持つことが
今、このときに証明されるのかも知れない・・・・。
このアルバムを聴きながら、この文章を終える・・・。
ぜひ一度、時の流れにも、流されない曲があることを体感してみて欲しい。

フィービ・スノウのデビューアルバムにして最高傑作！彼女の歌声はまさにヒーリング効果があるのである。特にこのアルバムは仕事のあとの疲れたときに聴くと効果大。彼女を一流ジャズメンがしっかりサポートし、これでもかのテクニックを披露するのではなくいわゆるアフターアワー的なリラックスした雰囲気を醸すようなと言えば良いか、とにかくゆったりとした気分にしてくれる。5の"San Fracisco Bay Blues"などはいろんなアーティストが取り上げているがここでの彼女はまさにワン・アンド・オンリーの世界を築いている。私的のベストチューンは3"Poetry Man"、こんなに優しい声と曲まさにフィービならではの世界である。
