２度目の来日公演が行われた時の世界ツアーからのライブ盤。「オフ・ザ・グラウンド」とポールの全時代を通じた名曲が組み合わされた構成。オープニングが「ドライヴ・イン・マイ・カー」。前回のツアーの時に漏れた曲が多く収録されている。お馴染みの曲がライブで聞けるということで、やっぱりファンには堪らないアルバムでしょう。熱気としては、やはり２度目ということで前回の方が盛り上がっていたような感じはするが。ジャケットとタイトルが秀逸で、アビー・ロードのジャケットからのポールの死亡説をパロッている。タイトルの「ポール・イズ・ライブ」も死亡説の裏返し。このあたりの軽さが嬉しい限り。
