表ジャケは完全におちょくっています、裏ジャケは...いやはや、ご自分でどうぞ。それよりも、中身ですわ。遊んでいるとしか思えませんねえ。スリーブには"i'm always serious."と書かれていますが...この人の言葉は、どこまで信用して良いものやら。ボサノバって英語だとニュー・ウエイブという意味らしいですね。ア・カペラツアーのラヴ・イズ・ジ・アンサーなどを経由すると、こういう発展形もありかな、とも思います。何度か聴いていると...いつのまにか病みつきになって、ついついまた聴いてしまうのです。

もうお忘れの方も多いと思うが、このアルバムが発売された当時、
世はまさに｢アンプラグド・ブーム｣の真っ最中｡
クラプトンをはじめ多くの大物ミュージシャンがアコースティック
なアルバムを出していた｡
そんな風潮をからかうような"With A Twist"というタイトルが
トッドらしい。
ボサノバを基調としたセルフカバーアルバムだが、本当に素晴らしい｡
特に打ち込みがまだしょぼかった時代の曲は、こういうスタイルのほうが
より原曲の良さが確認できる｡
絶対買って損のないアルバムだ｡
