スパイク・リー監督の“キングオブコメディ”の中で＝聞いたとたんケツが吹っ飛ぶ歌＝の一曲として'cause i love youが紹介され、私はまんまと吹っ飛ばされてしまいました！
最高！こんな歌があれば彼氏なんていらない！ってくらいのラブソングだと、私は勝手に思います。
是非吹っ飛ばされてくださいよー！

1978年という時代。少しずつソウルが軽薄なものになって、いろんなタイプのリズムが出尽くして、何かしら新しいことをするには再構築しか手立てがないと言う時代。だからこそ、70年代末期のソウルは名盤が多いのだと思います。是非とも、当時のコンポーザーやシンガーの、楽曲に仕掛けた工夫を楽しんでください。すべてが現在のダンスミュージックにつながっています。
