オリビア・ニュートン・ジョン主演の映画「ＴＷＯ　ＯＦ　Ａ　ＫＩＮＤ」のサウンドトラック盤です。オリビア・ニュートン・ジョン主演の映画のサウンドトラック盤は他に「ＧＲＥＡＳＥ」「ＸＡＮＡＤＵ」などがありますが、はずれた事がありません。メインの「ＴＷＩＳＴ　ＯＦ　ＦＡＴＥ」は全米第５位の大ヒットにしてオリビアの新しい一面を窺がう事ができます。トラボルタとの「ＴＡＫＥ　Ａ　ＣＨＡＮＣＥ」も全米ＡＯＲチャート第３位までいった素晴らしいバラード。そしてまさに隠れた名曲とはこの曲のためにあるといえるオリビアのソロ「ＳＨＡＩＫＩＮＧ　ＹＯＵ」。他にもボズ・スキャッグスなどデビッド・フォスター、プロデュースの曲が１０曲中８曲を占めてます。

最近の歌はどうも・・・という方にお勧めの１枚です。

1983年に制作された映画：TWO OF A KIND（邦題：セカンド・チャンス）のサウンドトラックが再リマスターされて米で再発されました。このサントラはご存知のようにDavid Fosterが映画音楽を手がけており､３．４．８．を除く全曲をDavid Fosterがプロデュースしています。４．も彼の片腕のHumberto GaticaがSteve Kipnerと共同プロデュースしています。注目曲はBoz Scaggsの７．。David FosterがBoz Scaggsと競作し、David Paich,Jeff Porcaroと共同プロデュースしているバラードで、この曲はこのアルバムでしか多分聴けないと思います（間違ってたらゴメンなさい．．．）。映画を観たことがある方も観たことがない方も購入する価値のあるアルバムです。以上

「摩天楼はバラ色に」の前にデヴィッド・フォスターが手掛けたサントラです。邦題は「セカンド・チャンス」という映画なんですが、ラブファンタジーの内容もさることながら、このサントラもイカしてます。オリビアとトラボルタのデュエット、ボズ・スキャッグス、TOTO、シカゴなどなど…　あ、忘れちゃならないのがフォスターの「ナイト・ミュージック」!！　映画の内容と相まってウルウル間違いナシの１曲です。
