So what's with the title here? Does Eric Clapton, lamely disguised as x-sample, seriously believe he can bolster retail with an album of bogus high-tech and Deep Forest-style instrumentals? Minus Simon Climie's synth orchestrations, Clapton's multi-faceted playing would be palatable at the least. But Climie's heavy-handed stabs at contemporary dance make this the funniest and/or saddest superstar bust since Paul McCartney's relatively innocuous Fireman project in '94. --Jeff Bateman

１９９７年リリースの覆面ユニット「トータル・ディスファンクショナリー・ファミリー（いっちゃってる家族）」のアルバム・・・中心人物は元クライミーフィッシャーのサイモンクライミーです（実は知りません）。この人だけでは買いませんが問題はＸ-ＳＡＭＰＬＥなる人物・・・エリッククラプトンとなれば、もう買いです エリッククラプトンがギタリストとしての可能性を追求したアルバムと言っていいでしょう（ジェフベックのユーハッドイットカミングも近いものがありますよね。）６曲目「ＳＥＶＥＮ」は結構弾きまくっててカッコいいです。フュージョン色ある曲もあり結構聴きやすいアルバムでした・・・基本的にインストアルバムです

　1997年、T.D.F.の1stアルバムです。

　T.D.F.は、ギターの神様「X-Sample」と、
元クライミー・フィッシャーの音の錬金術師・Simon Climieとのユニットです。

　曲は、シンセや打ち込みをバックにX-Sampleが、自由奔放にギターを弾きます。
　エレキ、アコースティックともに、結構味があります。
　ジャンルは、フュージョン、ジャングル、ドラムンベース、アシッド・ソウル、
ヒーリングetcという感じです。

　個人的には、結構気に入ってます。
　ヨガやフィットネス系のDVDには、よくバックで打ち込み系の「気持ちのいい曲」が流れていますよね。
　そんな、気持ちよさです。
　リフレッシュ用、ヒーリング用に、いいアルバムだと思います。

　ところで、ギターの神様「X-Sample」って、誰なんでしょうね〜？
　あ、それと、Simon Climieって人は、
Eric Claptonの「Pilgrim」で、Claptonと共同プロデュースしている人です。
　「X Sample = バケットヘッド！」ちゃうかな〜？！（笑）
