1992年リリース。カバー・イラストも『Geological Cinema』という題名のイーノ作品(1992年発表)である。共同プロデューサーにこの中で多くの楽器とミックスをこなしているマーカス・ドロウズが参加している。
時期的にはU2のアルバム『アクトン・ベイビー』が1991年の作品なのでそのあたりで『触媒』としての威力を発揮していた時期ということになる。ただし本作はその『触媒』としての自分の音楽に若干あきあきして昔のロキシー・ミュージックや801ライヴあたりのイーノが先祖返りしてしまっている気がする。確かにU2と『アクトン・ベイビー』のようなアルバムを作っていてミュージシャンの虫が動かないわけもないだろう。なかなかハードなアルバムで好感が持てる。（●＾o＾●）
イーノ自身の本作の解説では本作は、『自己矛盾だらけで、バランス感のない、しまりのない、不協和音的な、華奢で、ケバい、非アメリカ的で、ぐにゃぐにゃした、曖昧で、技術的には未熟な、目茶苦茶で、熱くなり過ぎた、あらゆるものを模倣したような、核心のない、ポスト原点回帰主義的な、ポスト・ワールド・ミュージック的な、「僕は何処に居るんだ?」という音楽』だそうである。へえ、そうかなぁ、と思う（●＾o＾●）。なかなか好きなアルバムだ。

アバンギャルドって言う言葉は既に死語だろうか？
このアルバムから出てくるサウンドはアンビエントなどと言う
小洒落た言葉よりも、もっと荒いような気がする。
むしろこのアルバムに関しては、ロック的な要素は非常に感じられる。
アナザグリーンワールドや初期の音とはまた違うが、攻撃性を帯びた

アバンギャルドなロックと言う表現を、あえてさせて頂きたい。
ともあれ、カナリカッコイイ事には間違いない。
