ベビー･フェイスやローリン・ヒルのアンプラグドも評判になったけれど、クラプトンのアンプラグドは最高です。
１曲目の"Signe"で素晴らしいアコーステックな世界が展開し、名曲"Layla"鳥肌が立ちます、また中でも"Tears in Heaven"は曲の背景も
有りますが、思わず涙が出ます。
そして、いかにもクラプトンが音楽を楽しんでいる感じがとても伝わり

dvdで映像があれば、より素晴らしさが伝わりますが、CDでも十分です。
名盤ですこれは！！

アンプラグドを出すと聞いて飛びついたが蓋を開けたらブルース三昧。
嫌いじゃないが、コカインとか過去の名曲を想像してた僕にとってはスカされた思いでした。しかしこれがジワジワと日本人に心にも入って来安いブルースでたちまちミリオンセラーに。クラプトンの新天地と言いたいが実は原点回帰。鬼に金棒を持たせるとどうなるか？ってのを体感しました。
ビフォーアキューズミーなどは沢山のミュージシャンにカバーされています。レイラのアレンジもハマってるし、オールドラヴなどはかなり大人の渋い曲に仕上がっている。
サポートのメンバーも燻し銀揃いだ。
必聴の一言。必ずブルースへの認識が変わるだろう。

このCDを聴いてギターを始めた、という人もいるのではないだろうか。
私もその一人だ。
Tears in heavenを聴いて、これをモノにしたい！と思い、
大学生活はギター漬けになった。

作品のクオリティ云々で評価を下げる方も多いが、
Tears in heavenは技術的に、というところを越えて、
「何か」を伝える力を持っている。

「Circus left town」、「My fathers eyes」が

カットされているのが残念。
音源は探せば手に入るが、公式にリリースしてもらいたいものだ。
