シカゴ21時代に埋もれた最高傑作・・・といった紹介がすっぽり当てはまるアルバムです！1曲目から思わずジーンとくるExplain It To My Heartなど、今考えたら全米トップ3に入ってもおかしくなかったかもしれない・・・買う価値十分あり！

　シカゴはずっと昔、不良っぽかった時から大好きで、どのアルバムもいいんだけど、中でもこの２１は一番好きです。

　クールだけどさわやかで、すごくスケールの大きい曲たち。スケールが大きいといってもふわふわしたオーロラみたい感じではなく、大地にしっかりと２本足がついていて朝日が立ち昇る感じは男のロマンがあります。

　ジャズ系AOR、このバランスがいいです、星７つ。

　長い歴史を誇るシカゴにとって、何がシカゴらしいのかは人それぞれなのだと思うが、個人的に１７よりファンになった私にとってはシカゴ＝バラードであって良質なバラードが入っているアルバムこそ期待を裏切らない作品という方程式ができあがってしまっている。そんな私にとってこのアルバムはある意味名盤となっている。色々な場所で批判をされている（作った当事者も含め）作品ではあるが、ただ単純にシカゴがどうのなど関係なしに、泣けるバラードが聴きたいのであれば間違いなく後悔はさせないと思う。２回ほどライヴにも行ったが、この作品からの選曲がなかった事は非常に寂しいことだ。もう少し本人達も含め自分たちの作った名作を見つめ直してもいいんじゃないかな？正直な話、先入観のないシカゴファンではないリスナーが聴いたほうが素直に良い作品といえる作品だと思う。
