一枚のアルバムとして面白い作品です。Ｓ＆Ｇ解散後母と子の絆~グレイスランドの頃までのちょっと雰囲気のある「ラブ・ソング」アルバムです。ヒット曲よりもアルバムの構成目的を優先させた選曲ですね。タイトルが「ネゴシエイションとラヴ・ソング」ですから。サイモンのラブ・ソングは一筋縄で行くラブ・ソングではないですからね。そのタイトルを主題にしてアルバムが作られていったような気がします。全体的にイージー・リスニングを聞くようなリラックスした感じで楽しめます。サイモンのファンの方だけでなく、軽いポップスをお探しの方にはお勧めです。
