「Cupid & Psyche 85」の方がいい、という人も多いようだが、アルバムとしての完成度、一体感はこちらの方が遥かに高い。FM音源を駆使したきめ細かなアレンジ、美しいコード展開、マイルス・デイヴィスやロジャー・トラウトマンなどの豪華ゲスト、すべてが素晴らしい。

「Oh Patty」は永遠の名曲です。

1982年のDebutは　時代を先走り過ぎ　1985年のSecondで　時代の最先端の音。
そしてこのAlbumは　時代と併走する音に。（時代に追いつかれたかも）
マラソンに例えると　やっぱりペースメーカーだったのかも。

1988年発表。
前作の大傑作『キューピット&サイケ85』から3年。1986年にはマイルス・デイビスがアルバム『TUTU』の中で『パーフェクト･ウェイ』を取り上げるなど、スクリッティ・ポリッティの周辺は大変慌ただしかった。そして半数の曲にかかわったマーカス･ミラーとの兼ね合いもあって(マイルスのアルバム『TUTU』も事実上ほとんどマーカス･ミラーがつくってマイルスがその上でソロだけとったようなアルバムである)、本作の『オー・パティ』でのマイルス参加ということになったのだろう。
もう一つの話題が『ゼア・シー・ウォズ』と『シュガー&スパイス』でのロジャー・トゥラウトマンの参加だろうがやっぱりマイルスにはかなわない（●＾o＾●）。
ゲストにばかり目が行くがグリーンも健在である（●＾o＾●）。グリーンは1979年に病気になり故郷ウェールズでの長い療養生活を強いられた時にR&Bやレゲェ・ファンクなどに目覚めたそうである。なるほど病気の療養生活中の頭脳の中でできるリズムとコーラスというのはスクリッティ・ポリッティの音楽を言い当てている気もする。
しかしながらこの後、スクリッティ・ポリッテイは11年間沈黙する。次作は1999年6月発表の『アノミー・ボノミー』を待つことになるのである。
