イーグルス解散後のソロ２作目。イーグルス在籍時のソロは、かなりソフィスティケイトされた聴き心地の良いサウンドだった（このあたり、ジョー・ウォルシュがイーグルスに与えた影響が語られることが多いようですが、逆にイーグルスがジョーに与えた影響も大きいと思います）のが、解散後はハードなロックへの回帰がみられて、メロディアスな曲調とのバランスが微妙に良くて、大好きです。もろレゲエの(1)から、トーキングモジュレーターを聴かせるミディアムテンポの(2)、ホーンをフィーチャしたゆるいボードビル風？(3)の流れがまず余裕を感じさせる。(4)は、自作ではないもののメロディの良さとハードなソウンドが融合したなかなかの名曲となっています。シングルカットされた(7)もポップでありながらスライドギターも聴かせる快作です。タイトル曲(6)は、聴き応え充分の力作。この曲を聴くためにこのアルバムを購入する価値がある。このアルバム、８０年代らしいシンセドラムの多用が、今聴くと残念な気もしますが、ジョー・ウォルシュのギターがたっぷりと聴ける傑作と言ってもいいのではないかと思い、星５つとしました。

停滞期から抜け出せないでもがいている時期のジョー。タイトルトラックくらいしかいいマテリアルはないような印象。正直つらい。豪華ゲスト＝トップスタジオミュージシャン＝たちを迎えてはいるが彼にはそんなのは似合わないのだ。コーティングしないほうがいい。天才の歯車がちょいとあわなくなっていた時期。１０点中２点

素晴らしアルバム。joe特有のROCKサウンド！聞いた後はとても面白い短編小説を読み終えた感じです。このアルバム2度3度、聴いた位では理解出来ない。大人のROCKなので、お子チャマには、解かりません。
