発売当初のアナログレコードをそれこそすり切れる程聴き、2008年12月にSHM-CDに生まれ変わった本盤を入手。(リマスターさえ、されていないことを理解しながらも)最大限の期待を持ってパッケージを開けたとたん、それは大きな落胆に変わりました。今まで穴の空くほど目を通した28年前のライナーノーツがそのまま転載されているではありませんか。ちなみに、書き出しは「クリストファー・クロスは、この春にデビューした(アメリカではこの冬)期待のシンガー・ソングライターです。」ってどういうこと？？
その後の活躍や、今年の11月に日本公演をしたことなど、もちろん一言も触れてません。ワーナーミュージック・ジャパンさんよ、手抜き仕事をするにも程があります。これで2,300円？たいしたもうけ主義です。
もちろん、内容は五つ星ですが、ワーナーへの抗議として☆ひとつとしました。

ＡＯＲという言葉が定着した１９８０年。エア・サプライのＬｏｓｔ　ｉｎ　Ｌｏｖｅとともに当時のシングル・チャートＴＯＰ１０内に登場。ＡＯＲは１９８２年で一度ピークを終えたが、このアルバムはどの世代にもきっと永遠に親しまれる名作。
洋楽に何らの知識がなくても、『心に避暑地（リゾート）』気分は万人に伝わることでしょう。

とがった音楽が多くなった８６年以降、丸くて柔らかい極上サウンドが恋しくなった時に、どうぞお聞きください。

　コーラスでは、ニコレット・ラーソン1、マイケル・マクドナルド26ヴァレリー・カーター3、ドン・ヘンリー＆ＪＤサウザー7。ギター・ソロでは、ラリー・カールトン、ジェイ・グレイドン各２曲など、楽しみもたくさん。プロデュースがエア・プレイ系でなく　Ｍ・オマーティアンというところがポイントであろう。

蔓延し続けるSHM-CD販売。その開発、企画までは良かったのだと思う。

が、制作、拡販からがよくない。
オリジナルマスター未使用や非リマスター盤を次から次へと乱発しだしてから消費者の反発を買い出しだ。

寄せ集め二次音源使用へっぽこベストの「GOLD」シリーズなどは価値は無いし、他も音質、音圧とも改善されているレベルではなく、中には醜い音質のモノも多数存在する。

市場にはしっかりと本国にて忠実にリマスターされた盤や、オリジナル音源リィシュー盤が出回っているのだ。

このクリストファー・クロスの名盤とて非リマスターだが、唯一リマスターされているベストと聴き比べてみれば雲泥の差。透明感、音圧共ベストリマスターのほうが格段に良いのは明らかで、名ばかりの再発商法で価値観の崩壊した消費者をターゲットにしているのが見え見えなのだ。

せっかくの良い素材なのに企画、営業が無にしている。

消費者を馬鹿にすんのはもう止めようぜっ。
